On 24th January, Bamboo Airways officially announced the launching of the German - Vietnam nonstop flights on 25th February 2022, in order to access the gateway to connect with the immense European region.

As per planned, Bamboo Airways operates with an initial frequency of 2 round-trip flights/week, the general frequency will be gradually increased according to market demand.

Bamboo Airways currently opens for sale from 24th January on its official website: www.bambooairways.com, Bamboo Airways mobile application and its ticket offices and agents nationwide.

Besides, the airline is boosting the plan of regular operation connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Frankfurt when conditions permit as well as studying nonstop flights to Munich or Berlin.

Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, an American wide-body jet airliner, will be used for all those flights. It is expected to provide exclusive facilities and the most comfortable long-haul flying experience.

According to Mr. Dang Tat Thang, Permanent Vice Chairman and CEO of Bamboo Airways, the regular nonstop flight to Frankfurt City allows Bamboo Airways to access the gateway to connect with the immense European region, alongside with other markets such as the Czech Republic, the UK, France… at the same time connecting Europe to countries in Asia, with Vietnam as the transit port.

‘With the regular nonstop flight to Frankfurt City, Bamboo Airways expects to rapidly expand the flight network to many economic hubs of Germany, grant an opportunity to access and experience international 5-star standard services, simultaneously imbued with Vietnamese identity on Bamboo Airways flights.’ Mr. Thang emphasised.

In order to support the preparation for nonstop flights, Bamboo Airways officially launched its international General Sales Agent in Germany - AVIAREPS Group. This is the world's leading international representation, marketing and communications company for aviation in Europe, representing over 250 major partners worldwide.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Vu Quang Minh, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany, stated that Vietnam has just celebrated the 10th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam-Germany Strategic Partnership. Germany is our country’s leading trading partner in the European Union, it is the world's fourth-largest economy. In 2021, Germany donated up to 10 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine and medical equipment for Vietnam, as the demonstration of a close and sincere relationship.

‘With the community of nearly 200,000 Vietnamese in Germany, of which there are people who have become German citizens and have contributed to the socio-economic, they are bridges connecting the two nations. Bamboo Airways chooses Germany to operate the nonstop flight route since it is an important destination and the political-economic centre of Europe.’, said Deputy Minister Vu Quang Minh.

The launching of a new regular Vietnam - Germany flight route is part of Bamboo Airways' plan to expand its international flight network from the beginning of 2022.

Besides the air route to Germany, Bamboo Airways will also operate regular flights between Ha Noi and the United Kingdom’s London from March 22 and between HCMC and Australia’s Melbourne from February 19.

Since January this year, the airline has operated regular flights to Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand and has made preparations to launch flights to Laos, Cambodia and the United States. It is expected to expand its network to 40 air routes this year.
