Under the deal, with the goal of encouraging backpacking tourist groups to explore and experience destinations in Da Nang, and support digital transformation at the same time, to give out an easy way to approach domestic and international tourists for tourism businesses, the two sides will focus on implementing a number of activities in the period 2022-2023, including the following key contents:
(1) Cooperate in attracting tourists to Da Nang under joint campaigns in Vietnam and major markets around the world.
(2) Push Da Nang tourism promotion and cooperation activities including advertising and celebrity endorsement via digital communication platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Website & App of Klook Vietnam).
(3) Accompany Da Nang travel agencies on their digitalisation process and be a pioneer in applying on the Klook platform, supporting local travel agencies access to a suite of technology solutions supported by Klook. With that, they can advantage the technology as a tool to navigate new target customers and improve their online advertising capabilities.
(4) Jointly research to create quarterly or seasonal campaigns to stimulate tourism and to introduce Da Nang tourism.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Director of the Da Nang Center for Tourism Promotion shared about the cooperation with Klook: ‘Digital transformation in the tourism industry is crucial, especially in the context of the huge impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has brought the tourism industry from hero to zero. By signing the agreement with Klook, we believe and highly expect that the Da Nang tourism industry will reach more customers, and the image of Da Nang destinations will be spread further, especially in the Asian market when international flight routes are reconnected.’
Da Nang is a pioneer in digital transformation. Developing smart tourism, lifting up convenience and ease of access for tourists is the goal that Da Nang tourism industry is headed for. Several impressive digital tourism products are launched such as: VR360 app (vr360.danangfantasticity.com, released on 28th October 2021), E-commerce platform and online travel fair Da Nang Dang Fantasticity (website local.travelbook.vn/danang announced on January 5, 2022) are expected to operate in March 2022.
Ms. Michael Ho, Managing Director of Klook Vietnam said the partnership is part of the firm’s #TravelForGood campaign that aims to support Vietnam’s tourism sector’s post-pandemic growth by fostering collaboration with the government and local tourism promotion agencies. We are delighted that the Signing ceremony took place successfully, marking the beginning of a long-term cooperation between Klook and Da Nang Center for Tourism Promotion with campaigns to attract domestic and international tourists to Da Nang in the near future.
After the good news of ‘A programme on promoting tourism - aviation cooperation, and flight routes to Da Nang’ on 17th January, Da Nang has announced the event called ‘The Asian route development forum 2020 (Routes Asia 2022)’ in June 2022, thereby, the signing of digital transformation cooperation in tourism activities between Da Nang Center for Tourism Promotion and Klook Vietnam will also contribute to speeding up the recovery of tourism in the near future.
