Lao Cai Province: Putting blossom sightseeing tour into operation

Visitors will be immersed in interminability of beautiful pure
white plum colours blended in the brilliant colours of the
costumesof the Dao and Ha Nhi people,
creating a poetic and peaceful scene

Innovating and diversifying tourism products in the aim of ensuring safety against the pandemic are the solutions set out by localities in Lao Cai Province to resume tourism in the new normal phase. In which focus on safe and nature friendly tourism products. These days, throughout the highland villages of Lao Cai, massive spring flowers are blooming, becoming a unique and attractive tourist product.

Arriving at Bac Ha white plateau, visitors will be immersed in interminability of pure white plum colours. Currently in the whole Bac Ha district, there are over 1,000 hectares of Tam Hoa plums and local plum flowers are in full bloom, creating a hearty scenery for people. Mr. Vang Van Soi, in Na Ang A Village, Na Hoi Commune, Bac Ha District stated: ‘Since the beginning of the year, we have welcomed many visitors, mainly domestic visitors to visit plums’..

Along with white plum flowers, in Bac Ha District, there are a variety of flowers such as roses, canola flowers, pear flowers, platycodon grandiflorus flowers that are blooming, creating an exclusive tourist product to visit and experience. In order to enable tourism as a leading economic sector, the locality is focusing on solidifying potential advantages, targeting in drawing investment resources to develop tourism infrastructure, and meeting the needs of tourism services. Ms. Nguyen Cam Van, in Nam Cuong Ward, Lao Cai City shared: ‘I was attracted by the white flowers once I came here, I felt really relaxed and I think wherever you go, Bac Ha still owns its distinct imprint’.

Mr. Hoang Van Khoa, Vice Chairman of Bac Ha District People’s Committee indicated: ‘Our priority is to lure all resources to invest in infrastructure. Because if Bac Ha owns a well-built traffic infrastructure and receives enough investment resources, exclusive tourism products will be provided to visitors to experience’.

In the highland commune of Nam Pung, Bat Xat District, along with the typical cultural features, tempting dishes such as salmon, hand-carried piglets and Nam Pung rice wine, pear blossoms are another amusing experience. Under the wispy mist, the pure white pear branches blend in the brilliant colours of the costumes of the Dao and Ha Nhi people, which create a peaceful and poetic scene.
