Australian International borders to re-open on 21 February

The Australian Government has this week announced that Australia will re-open for all fully vaccinated international travellers on February 21 without the need for quarantine or travel exemptions.

The only further requirement to enter Queensland is a negative COVID-19 test (Rapid Antigen Tests are accepted) within 24 hours of entry into the state, enabling the return of leisure visitors, business travellers and other visitors to Australia, bolstering the Queensland tourism industry.

TEQ will launch its successful ‘Good to Go’ campaign to international markets – already commenced in Singapore and is quickly expanding to other markets where two-way travel will be open including the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France and Italy.

To view the requirements for international visitors travelling to Australia please see the Department of Home Affairs website here.

Watch for an invitation for an industry briefing on TEQ’s international marketing plans soon.
