Tiger Airways Launches Second Base In Sydney

Tiger Airways Australia

Tiger Airways Australia commenced services from its new Sydney base on 1 July, in the process creating 150 jobs and providing up to 10 extra national daily return flights from Sydney.

Three aircraft will progressively operate from Tiger’s second Australian base in Sydney, providing extra capacity on existing services between Sydney and key Australian cities.

In March, when Tiger announced the new Sydney base, NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade and Investment, Andrew Stoner, said he was thrilled with Tiger’s commitment to NSW, which will provide employment and tourism benefits for the economy.
