A Spectacular September Awaits in London

2012 Paralympics
September in the capital will be spectacular – if you missed a chance to catch the Olympic Games, don’t miss out on the Paralympics at the beginning of September along with the Mayor’s Thames Festival on the 8th and 9th, which marks the closing weekend of the ‘summer like no other’.

If just watching the sports has left you tired, then take some time out and catch up with some art and design at the London Design Festival, the Design Museum or the LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair. For wannabe designers and fashionistas, there is also the GQ Carnaby Style Night on 13 September – with discounts and free activities galore.

For families, there are some fantastic days out such as Roald Dahl Day at the National Theatre on 8th September and the Countryside Live family weekend at the Lee Valley Park on 29th and 30th September.

Mayor’s Thames Festival
For theatre-lovers, there are some fantastic opportunities to see some rare work including Private Peaceful at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, the eccentric Tiger Lillies performing Hamlet at the Southbank Centre, whilst the San Francisco Ballet will perform at Sadler’s Wells.  London’s newest theatre, the St James Theatre in the heart of Victoria is also due to open its doors.
