The Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival (2, 4-8 July) is a feast for the eyes, ears and senses that combines exhilarating competitions, traditional customs, colourful entertainment and a BeerFest to keep you lubricated! The excitement is intense as super-fit teams of men and women paddle furiously in international races staged in Victoria Harbour off the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront.
Shoppers will get equally excited enjoying an array of top-up privileges lined up especially for the Summer Spectacular, as well as snapping up bargains at the sales all over town. There’s also a Hong Kong Super Shopper competition offering marvellous prizes on top of the unique experience of just being in Hong Kong.
Fun-lovers can expect to have a ball at the Lan Kwai Fong Music & Beerfest 2012 (14-15 July) that takes place in the heart of Hong Kong’s nightlife district. The Summer Spectacular also showcases some great music with Summer Pop – Live in Hong Kong (10 & 11 August) featuring some of the top local Canto-pop singers at the Hong Kong Coliseum.
Animation and comic fans should be sure to check out the mind-boggling array displayed at the 14th Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong (27-31 July), while another feast for the senses is the Food Expo 2012 (16-20 August) where you can sample a host of gourmet delights. And if you’re planning to update your computer or other gadgets, you’ll find one of the world’s biggest selections at the Hong Kong Computer & Communications Festival 2012 (24-27 August).

Having seen Victoria Harbour from a height, you can enjoy the spectacular skyscape by taking a Harbour Tour, and then visit Bauhinia Square on the Wanchai waterfront, where the historic Handover ceremony took place in 1997.
