Inaugural "Luxperience" Event Details Unveiled

Luxperience, a new Australasia & Pacific travel trade event aimed at connecting the worlds most exclusive and unique travel providers, has completed its regional road show with a final stop in hometown, Sydney.

Meeting Australasia's key players at the Park Hyatt Sydney last Wednesday, 21 March, Rosemarie Sama, founder and CEO of Luxperience, unveiled details of what will be Luxperience's debut show, taking place in Sydney from 10 - 12 September, 2012 at the Sydney Overseas Passenger Terminal.

The invitation-only gathering (www.luxperience.com.au) has been designed to bring together leading players - both suppliers and buyers - in the high-end travel market who are experts at planning and delivering bespoke itineraries and unusual travel experiences.

It aims to further provide a 'Luxperience Community' connecting travel providers 365 days a day through a unique LuxConnect platform allowing suppliers, buyers and media to engage in conversation with monthly web seminars and continual interaction.

Invitations to the most exclusive global travel providers, agencies and wholesalers have already been extended to groups of buyers including global teams of American Express Travel Benefits Marketing, Ensemble Travel, Signature Travel Groups as well as selected Australian luxury specialists including members of Travel Associates and individual specialist organisations.

Interest from buyers to attend has been very high with over 100 applications already being received.  Buyers will be able to take advantage of LuxConnect once it goes live in May.

The Sydney preview event included presentations by Ms Louise McAlpine, Trade Services Manager, Destination NSW;  Moet Hennessy Ambassador Greg Williams, sharing legends of Veuve Clicquot; and fine art consultant John Buckley, Curator at the Park Hyatt Sydney and a former director of the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne and Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane.

Addressing the audience on Wednesday, Rosemarie Sama said: "'Experiential travel' has become the new buzzword. With objects of desire available to anyone who decides to splash out, people are looking for something more - seeking out of the ordinary, transformational and more authentic  travel experiences.

"Our vision is to build upon this trend, and I have every confidence that Luxperience will soon establish itself as the region's premier event and networking platform for those in the business."

Some of the world's most unique suppliers already a part of the new network include Jumeriah Resorts, Wakatobi Dive Retreat, Hayman & Makepeace Islands, Sir Richard Branson's Necker Island, Silversea Cruises, Bali Fine Art Retreats, Rocky Mountaineer, Orion Expeditions, Sea Song Tours, Touch of Spice and Southern Crossings.

In addition to Sydney, the Luxperience team has completed events in Shanghai and Beijing, Singapore and Hong Kong, Auckland and Queenstown - at each, bringing together leaders in the luxury experiential travel market.

Strategic partnerships have already been formed with Australia's Luxury Travel Magazine, Dubai Tourism and Virgin Australia.
