A visit to the Pafos
Archaeological Park
is not to be missed; one of the highlights is a visit to the 2nd century Roman
Villa of the House of Dionysos, with its beautiful mosaics depicting various
myths, You should also try to see the Regal Tombs of the Kings.

Families looking for thrills can enjoy a day out at one of
the four water parks in Agia Napa, Limassol and Pafos. The fantastic
rides (suitable for thrill-seekers and those seeking a more sedate experience)
can be enjoyed by the whole family. Alternatively, why not spend a day on one
of the 56 Blue Flag beaches, and enjoy a range of watersports?
Take a jeep safari to the Akamas
National Park in the north west of the island. Walk along
the Avagas Gorge, and end the day with a fish meze in the picturesque fishing harbour of Latsi.
Suitable For Couples/Families With Older Children:
Due to the island’s compact size and modern road network, which connects the
main resorts, it’s easy to hire a car
in Cyprus and discover the island for yourself. You can take a trip to the
Troodos mountains, and visit some of the 10 Byzantine churches on the UNESCO
World Heritage list. If you’re in the mood to burn off some excess energy, you
can enjoy a walk along one of the many hiking trails and end your day with an
al fresco meal in one of the traditional tavernas in the rural villages.

The Limassol Wine Festival (end of August/beginning of
September) is one of the key events in the Limassol calendar. This annual
event allows visitors the chance to enjoy wine-tasting, traditional Cypriot
food and a range of folkloric performances.

Enjoy a performance
of Shakespeare at the wonderful open air theatre at ancient Curium. The theatre
has a backdrop of the sea, and boasts amazing natural acoustics. On the
22nd, 23rd and 24th June, there will be performances of Macbeth. For more

Follow one of the six wine routes, and visit some of the 40
regional wineries to enjoy wine-tasting. Follow this with lunch in a
traditional tavern, serving fresh local produce.
