Results from the latest National Visitor Survey (NVS) for
2011 reveal that more tourists have visited our local Hunter Valley
region of NSW Australia,m with an increase of 16%.

- NSW welcomed around 24 million total domestic visitors, up
by 4% compared with 2010
- Domestic visitors spent 81 million nights in NSW, up by 4%
- Expenditure by domestic visitors was $12.9 billion up by 4%
- Expenditure by business visitors rose by more than 25% or an additional $358 million
- Visitation to regional areas increased - Hunter (+16%), South Coast (+9%), Central NSW (+8%) and Capital Country (+8%)
- Visitor nights in the Northern Rivers rose by 18%.
