SeaLink Marine & Tourism supports Queensland's Keepy Uppy world-record achievement

In anticipation of the new Bluey's World opening in Brisbane on 7 November 2024, SeaLink Marine & Tourism were excited to join Tourism and Events Queensland's recent World Record attempt of 'Keepy Uppy' in early June.

Executive General Manager for Customer, Sales and Marketing at SeaLink Marine & Tourism, Mr Phil Boyle said, “It was brilliant to see our SeaLink teams join in on Queensland's world-record attempt at the world's largest game of 'Keepy Uppy'.”

Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) have launched their biggest global campaign in a decade leveraging Queensland's award-winning homegrown global animated TV sensation – Bluey.

Bluey is Australia's #1 kids show on broadcast television and is streamed in over 60 countries, even claiming the 'most-streamed kids show' last year in the United States.

Mr Boyle said SeaLink Marine & Tourism is proud to be supporting TEQ in the 'Queensland is Bluey's world, for real life' campaign to encourage families, and those young at heart, from around Australia and the world to come and enjoy a Queensland holiday.

“For people looking to escape the cooler winter months there really is no better place to visit for some tropical island relaxation than Queensland where the weather is sensational this time of year,” he said.

SeaLink Marine & Tourism's Queensland businesses who recently were awarded the Best of Queensland Experiences have joined the campaign offering special family holiday deals at stunning locations, including the Whitsundays, North Queensland, K'gari (Fraser Island), and North Stradbroke Island.

Mr Boyle said, “As part of the campaign we have put together some special deals inviting Bluey fans to visit some of the real-life locations that inspired the beloved show. You can head over the seas without flying overseas.”

“We also think our blue heeler-coloured vessels perfectly complement TEQ's Bluey campaign connecting visitors to some of the best island experiences in Australia including Magnetic Island (off Townsville), K'gari (off the Fraser Coast), Whitsunday Islands (off Airlie Beach), and North Stradbroke Island (near Brisbane),” Mr Boyle explained.

Some of SeaLink's special deals include:
