They’re all prominent features of Aichi Prefecture of course! A visit to Aichi Prefecture will provide you with a wholesome experience of old and new Japan. Here are some of the highlights worth including on your itinerary.

Stop by Inuyama Castle for a jump back in time to the Edo Period (1603-1867). It’s a National Treasure and one of only 12 remaining original castles in Japan.

Wander through the Obara District to see the unique shikizakura blooming alongside autumn colours! The blossoms typically peak around mid-November through early December.

Take a relaxing soak at Minamichita Hot Spring Village. Comprised of the hot springs of Utsumi, Sankai and Toyohama, many of the onsen ryokan offer great views of the ocean.

Bit of a car buff? The Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology has plenty of fascinating and interactive displays to learn about the past, present and future of the iconic company.

Fun for the whole family can be found at LEGOLAND® Japan. Learn about the manufacturing process, explore NINJAGO World and visit Miniland which features iconic landmarks across Japan built using over 10 million LEGO bricks!

After a day of adventure and exploring, sit down with a plate of miso katsu. This dish of crumbed, deep-fried pork cutlet served with a miso sauce is considered a local specialty of Nagoya City. Oishii! (that’s Japanese for delicious!)
