The Arc de triomphe, Wrapped” by Christo
Victor Hugo, Freedom at the Panthéon
Paris 22 April to 30 August 2023
This exhibition, held in the poet's resting place, looks back on the National funeral that took place on 1 June 1885 when a procession of two million people went from the Arc de triomphe and the ChampsElysées to the Pantheon. The exhibition will have never-seen-before archives, newspaper clips, sculptures, drawings and objects.
Hotel de la Marine, Place de la Concorde, Paris
July 2020
After major restoration works, the Hotel de la Marine will open to the public for the first time. First used as a Royal furniture storage, then as headquarters for the French Marine, it will now open with fully renovated rooms. State-of-the-art digital devices will accompany the visitors on their visits. There will also be a Ducasse cocktail bar, restaurant with menu by French chef Jean-François Piège and a Michalak tearoom.
Arc de triomphe |
