The supporting campaign invites travellers to visit Western Australia to discover what the state offers travellers.
Western Australia, which accounts for one third of the Australian continent, has 20,000 kilometres of mainland and island coastline, the world’s oldest minerals and many natural ‘wonders’.
Of the State’s population of 2.6 million people, around three-quarters live in the Perth region.
With more than 3,000 hours of sunshine per day, Perth is Australia’s sunniest capital city.
The state’s Aboriginal history dates back more than 50,000 years making it one of the world’s oldest living cultures.
Western Australia’s varied climate sees Mediterranean conditions in the south through to the northern tropics.
The campaign give a special focus to the gentle whale shark, one of the many incredible species of wildlife that can be seen in Western Australia.
A recent survey found that whale sharks were the number one Western Australia sea creature that visitors wanted to swim with.
The Ningaloo Reef has a 95 per cent reliability rate for this experience between March and July.
