The Victoria Bathurst is championing Bathurst's status as a regional regional hub for live music, creating two dedicated venues within the hotel that regularly host shows throughout the year. Little Alberts, an intimate indoor space where you can enjoy dinner and a show, and The Backyard, to appreciate a variety of musical talents while taking in the atmosphere of the towering heritage industrial buildings around the beer garden.
Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre also boasts an impressive annual program, with music, dance, theatre and comedy all part of the lineup each year.
Bathurst's strong ties to Australian contemporary visual art span back to the years after the Second World War, when several notable artists took up residence at Hill End. The stark landforms, relics leftover from the gold rush era, and vernacular architecture about Hill End and Sofala has inspired and provided context for masterpieces from the likes of Brett Whitely, Russell Drysdale and Margaret Ollie and this tradition has continued through the Hill End Artists in Residence Program.

What the locals love - Janelle Matus - Tara Country
"The Bathurst Winter Festival warms the soul of our city each winter. The children's laughter, stunning lights illuminating landmarks in the CBD, mulled wine and live music from local musicians, Bathurst truly becomes a Winter Wonderland. One can imagine people strolling through the magnificent Machattie Park in the early 1900s with music coming from the bandstand. The park is a green haven for family picnics, artists, yoga, Tai Chi and much more.""The Baptist Regional Art Gallery supports world class exhibitions whilst constantly supporting local artists. T.Arts gallery, a cooperative of local artists, hosts many exhibitions."
"Mount Panorama/Wahluu is much more than a car race. Stop at the viewing platform on top of the mountain - the views take your breath away."
"I live just out of Rockley and have fallen in love with this picturesque village nestled in green rolling hills. My husband and I love meeting people and we have two bed and breakfast cottages on our 1.5 hectare garden."
