Crazy Horse Volksmarch CREDIT Crazy Horse Memorial
Visitors to western South Dakota can experience the Indian Museum of North America at Crazy Horse Memorial. Celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2023, the world’s largest in-progress mountain carving is a tribute to Lakota leader Crazy Horse and tells the story of the Lakota people. Artists, songwriters and dancers tell their stories and showcase their work at Crazy Horse Memorial throughout the year. Crazy Horse Memorial also offers a unique opportunity to hike to the arm of the carving during the biannual Volksmarch event.
