It tells the tells the story of a newly engaged couple getting caught in a storm and coming to the home of a mad transvestite scientist, Dr Frank-N-Furter, unveiling his new creation, Rocky.
Rocky, a Frankenstein-style monster is ‘artificially made, fully grown, physically perfect muscle man, complete with blond hair and a tan.
The Rocky Horror Show opened in 1973 before an audience of 63 in the Royal Court’s Theatre Upstairs.
Since then, the musical has been seen by over 30 million people worldwide in more than 30 countries and translated into 20 languages.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show 1975 film is still shown in cinemas around the world.
The Rocky Horror Show is marking its 50th Anniversary with an extended UK tour through 2023, and an international tour playing in theatres around the world.
It will run at the Peacock Theatre London from 3rd May to 10th June 2023.
