You are Very Welcome at HOMITEL Bangkok

HOMITEL Bangkok
On my recent trip to Thailand I enjoyed my stay at the HOMITEL Bangkok. I wondered about the meaning of the HOMITEL Bangkok name, but then realised it is a merging of 'home' and 'hotel'. This 30 room 4 storey building successfully combines the benefits of a cosy home with a modern boutique hotel.

I found my 3 night stay there very comfortable. There are a variety of contemporary-designed rooms available, with my room being the Superior Room with private bathroom. The room's color palette of ivory and the warm natural wood accentuates the feel-like-home ambience of the HOMITEL.

The king-size bed was very comfortable to sleep on with a choice of pillows. The bathroom had a good walk-in shower, vanity basin and toilet. A good range of amenities, fluffy towel, hair dryer and room slippers were provided. The quite air-conditioner made the room cool in the heat of the day, and I enjoyed laying on the bed watching the digital TV at night. The Wi-Fi was high speed with no drop outs. The min-fridge kept drinks cool.

HOMITEL Bangkok - Superior Room
HOMITEL Bangkok is located in a quite street in Huai Khwang, the up-and-coming second China Town area of Bangkok. There is a 7-Eleven and Family Mart close by in the same street, and many famous Chinese and Thai cafes and restaurants are nearby. It is in walking distance to the Huai Khwang MRT train station. The Huai Khwang Night Market is an interesting place to explore. I bought some cheap baby clothes when I went there.

The HOMITEL Bangkok grew from the dreams of a young Thai woman in 2019, Jutika Krongmongkolkul. Her family was heavily involved in the apartment and textile industries but had no experience in hotels. She thought it would be a good idea to open a new hotel. Jutika gained her ideas for HOMITEL Bangkok from staying in many hotels on her travels around the world. She incorporated her fashion flair, inspired by her mother, into the Thai fabric of HOMITEL Bangkok, which opened as a totally reconstructed 30 year old building for the first time in 2021. The architects were Official Space. Co., Ltd. and the interior design was by PN Interior Design Studio.

HOMITEL Bangkok - Lobby
HOMITEL Bangkok is full of love and dreams. As a result, much thought went onto the design of this hotel. HOMITEL's color, logo, and pattern themes all have a special significance.
  • The signature blue color is derived from a type of Thai fabric called "Hom", which has a unique shade of dark blue.
  • The logo was constructed from a pattern in the weaving technique called "Sai-fon", meaning "rain pattern" in English.
All of these elements are incorporated in the decorations of the hotel lobby. The wall of the lobby  simulates the flow of fabric. The pillars represent weaving technique, and the front signage of each room is decorated with Thai fabric from each region.

HOMITEL Bangkok - TA'RN Sit&Drink
The TA'RN Sit&Drink, on the street level of HOMITEL Bangkok, is a welcoming cafe during the day and a bar at night.

I felt very relaxed staying at HOMITEL Bangkok. It it is obvious it was designed to be a great place to relax on a very comfortable bed with a homely atmosphere. This is a gift that HOMITEL would like to offer every guest.

I was made to feel very welcome at HOMITEL Bangkok by the friendly staff. I am sure you will experience the warm welcome when you stay there. HOMITEL Bangkok welcomes individuals and couples. It is kids-friendly, and they welcome families with small children. Car parking at he the HOMITEL Bangkok is available for those driving a car.

The term "Home" for Jutika is an experience, love and warmth of the family that she would like to share with her guests through HOMITEL Bangkok.
