The founder of the hotel has a passion for collecting. It was his dream to build a hotel that would be a home-away-from-home for guests and would also be a permanent showcase of his collection of me-styled items gathered from his travels around the world. Many interesting and quirky items are on display, including his classic car and motorbike.
It uses a dazzling array of colours in its decor. The exterior of the hotel is a striking red with racing cars going up the front wall. Fun sculptures, which are lit up at night, are in the front garden. Strong vibrant colours are used in the various parts of the hotel. Every section of the MeStyle Museum Hotel you walk into all exhibits a me-styled collection that is curated in collaboration with notable local artists of each field. There is colourful art and sculpture around every corner of the hotel. Every corridor is a delight to walk along to see what surprise is on show.
The MeStyle Museum Hotel offers a total 98 rooms in 6 different room types. My comfortable room, like all the others, had a contemporary and colourful design. The decor and style of the room let me completely relax after long days of sightseeing in the local area. My room had good air-conditioning, two chairs & table, work desk, clothes rack, room safe, refrigerator and kettle. My king-size bed was comfy to lay on for a good nights sleep. I watched the digital TV and made use the free Wi-Fi.
The Map Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with both indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed my buffet breakfast each morning in The Map with its selection of Thai/Continental and International delectable dishes and good coffee. The breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. The Map Restaurant serves only culinary creations that have been personally chosen by the chef's passionate heart.
The Sombat Bar serves various drinks, including 11 signature cocktails. It has fancy decor, which gives it an extravagant but cosy atmosphere. The name “Sombat" means “trea-sure”. On display is many of the hotel founders treasures, including a giant statue of a Golden Eagle, car number plates, to nostalgic childhood toys.
The rooftop has a swimming pool and gym for guests to use. Rather tham mermaids, elephants adorn the pool. The gym has various equipment for guests to maintain their fitness.
For people organizing small-to-medium scale events of all kinds, The Museum Hall is the ideal venue for weddings, board meetings, conferences, or other special events. The Hall can be arranged in various ways to cater for 30 - 300 guests.
A sense of fun is exuded from the MeStyle Museum hotel. It is not a stuffy, dusty boring museum. The fun element hits you as soon a you walk in the lobby. It is very welcoming with its striking decor, including a giant wooden ship carved as a long sofa seat.

The bathroom had a vanity basin, mirror, toilet, good shower and quality towels. It was nice to use the “Gla” toiletries set provided.

The MeStyle Museum Hotel is ideally located in Huai Khwang, a popular area of Bangkok with many Thai and Chinese restaurants. I used the nearby Huai Khwang MRT train station to travel into central Bangkok and out to the Chatuchak Weekend Market. I walked to the popular Huai Khwang Night Market.
The MeStyle Museum Hotel is the ideal place to spend one or more nights in Bangkok, to attend an event, to drink or to dine, to exercise or just to look around at the various exhibits on display.
