All roads lead to Groundwater CMF! Now based in Nashville, sensational country-pop duo Seaforth returns to native soil for Groundwater CMF in their first show back home and their only Queensland performance.

Joining Seaforth on their voyage from the US will be the chart-topping Aussies Kristy Cox and Dozzi. Beyond these wonderful homecomings, be prepared to be staggered by the exceptional talent we now have confirmed to complete the already impressive lineup. Big names like Andrew Farriss, and New Zealand favourite Tami Neilson who is back for her only Australian performance this year, in addition to Andrew Swift, Jayne Denham, and The Viper Creek Band will be augmenting an already amazing bill! See the full lineup here.

Groundwater CMF prides itself in its unwavering ethos to support and nurture emerging talent and is proud to be featuring 2022 Star Maker winner Max Jackson in the lineup. In fact, Max will be joining an incredible alumni of previous Star Maker winners: Travis Collins, Kirsty Lee Akers, and Kaylee Bell. Plus of course, last year’s inaugural KIX start winner Bella Mackenzie. There really is just so much to love about Groundwater CMF and the opportunities it provides emerging talent throughout Australia.

Groundwater CMF Festival Director Mark Duckworth said: “We’re stoked to be able to add some extraordinary international talent to our 2022 Groundwater CMF programme and welcome home some of our own homegrown stars as well.”

“I can’t wait to kick back and enjoy some incredible live music and to share it all with our loyal festival fans on the beautiful Gold Coast.”

As if it could get any better, following on from the cracking first lineup announcement, which included Country icons Fanny Lumsden, Travis Collins and Catherine Britt, Groundwater CMF is thrilled to reveal an equally spectacular second lineup.

Seaforth

“Our Australian tour has been a long time coming so we can’t wait to get back home and kick off our run of shows at Groundwater CMF. It’s our only show in QLD so we’d love to see ya!”

After a fateful performance at Nashville’s The Basement, the duo was offered a record deal with Sony Music Nashville and moved to Music City in late 2017.

Career highlights include working with legendary super producer Dann Huff, opening for their long-time hero, Keith Urban, and being awarded the prestigious ARPA Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year-Nashville.

Tami Neilson

From being cradled as a baby in the arms of Roy Orbison, singing with Kitty Wells at age 10, and opening for Johnny Cash in her pyjamas at 18, Tami Neilson led an extraordinary life before leaving North America in 2007 to start her own family on the other side of the world in New Zealand. Neilson has forged her own artistic path as a critically acclaimed solo artist and songwriter, earning wide-ranging applause and a myriad of NZ-based awards for her inventive and strikingly personal approach to country, rockabilly, and soul.

“Coming to play in Australia for the first time in three years is going to feel like a long drink of water after being in the desert! I can’t wait to sing for you all!” said Tami.

Jayne Denham

Jayne Denham recently signed to Velvet Stone Management, a division of Dead Horse Branding, an international management company with bases in Sydney and Nashville.

We’re thrilled that Jayne will be debuting her newest single Car Trouble at Groundwater CMF, performing it with Troy Kemp who will be live on the big screen beamed in from Nashville.

With such a huge lineup of country music legends, and up and coming stars, country music lovers are encouraged to book their Gold Coast accommodation soon so they don’t miss this out on this hugely popular free festival. Why not make a long weekend of it and enjoy everything this holiday mecca has to offer.
