Lose yourself in a whimsical garden...

What else would you expect to find behind a pottery store but an expansive sculpture garden!?

Yoneko-yaki Pottery on Ishigaki Island, Okinawa Prefecture has a range of shisa (Okinawan lion dog) statues and other bright coloured, quirky characters for you to meet.

Not to mention the grounds are beautiful, with a number of tropical fruit trees, a pond and a stream winding throughout.

Don't forget to grab a tiny shisa souvenir on your way out!
