Sekizenkan, a ryokan in Shima Onsen dates back over 300 years and is believed to be one of the inspirations behind a bathhouse in a hit animated film. Can you guess which one?

Located in Gunma, Shima Onsen was established in 989 and is considered one of the top 3 onsen in the prefecture, along with Kusatsu and Ikaho. Part of Joshinetsu Kogen National Park and surrounded by rich nature, choose from 35 different Japanese-style inns with hot springs, many offering private baths!
