An Invitation to East Meets West Orchestral Concert

The ‘East Meets West’ Orchestral Concert is touring to the newly renovated Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on 18 September 2022.

This concert is a colourful compilation of critically acclaimed classical works from the East and West, including the 'Butterfly Lovers' Violin Concerto and the 'Yellow River‘ Piano Concerto amongst an additional collection of equally enchanting compositions, such as popular melodies 'Jasmin Flowers' (featured in Puccini's Turandot).

This spectacular line-up will be performed by a 60-piece symphony orchestra led by popular music maestro Guy Noble, together with emerging soloists, including pianist Tony Lee, violinist Amanda Chen, Guzheng Jammy Huang, Soprano Sharon Zhai and mezzo-soprano Victoria Lambourn.

Enjoy an Australian tribute to Eastern music at this special one-off concert,
