ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2020 Opening Ceremony and Welcome Dinner

The opening ceremony and welcome dinner for all delegates of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2020  took place on the evening of 14 January at the Indera Samudra Grand Hall, The Empire Brunei, Jerudong.

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah officiated the opening of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2020.

At the opening ceremony, His Royal Highness also launched the new ASEAN Tourism website before receiving a pesambah presented by the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism.

The opening event of the ATF 2020 included cultural performances of Brunei dancers and singers.

The delicious meal was brought to the delegates seated at the many round tables. The 3-course menu consisted of:

Soup

• Roasted butternut pumpkin soup, toasted pumpkin seed, cashew nut

Main Course

Main Course

• Brunei rendang daging (Slow braised beef with coconut milk, chilli and spice)
• Chicken in banana leaf flavoured with lemongrass, tamarind and turmeric
• Ikan asam pedas (Hot and sour fish)
• Tahu goreng sos kacang (Fried bean curd with peanut sauce)
• Young jackfruit with long bean in coconut milk 
• Vegetable biryani
• Steamed rice

Dessert

• Strawberry Chocolate Crumble

A special theme song "We are the Best" was written for the Opening Ceremony and performed by Hans Anuar, Yaniety Junaini, Ruby Chong, Qeez Idrus, Dayat Ahim, Fame Masri, Yasmeen Liew, Dydy, DJ Lela. Arif Yahya, Vivace Adagio, Seri Mulia, and the Lively Dancers Group. Everyone was encouraged to join in singing the chorus.
