CMV announces farewell 2020 season for Astoria

Astoria
With two new additions to the Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) fleet scheduled for 2021, the company has announced it will not renew the charter contract for its Astoria vessel.

The 550 passenger Astoria will sail her final season with CMV this year, having been with the global fleet since January 2015.

Astoria’s Farewell Season includes four cruises from Poole, England, in March and April, in addition to three sailings from Hull, England, in September and October 2020.

Managing Director for CMV Australia, Dean Brazier, said limited space was available on the seven final Astoria cruises.

“For Australians planning their European breaks this year, this is the last chance to sail on board this classic cruise liner. Astoria’s size provides a fantastic opportunity to reach smaller ports and more destinations.”

Chris Coates, Group Commercial Director, said, “Although we will be sad to say farewell to Astoria, we are excited at the prospect of Pacific Dawn (to be renamed) joining the fleet in 2021 – another traditional-style ship.”

CMV Australia will farewell Astoria with up to 65% off her final sailings, with fares from less than AU $100 p.p. per night (based on twin share). Astoria caters exclusively to guests 16 years and over.
