The Sultanate offers shallow coral dives which are perfect for inexperienced divers as well as more challenging reef and wreck dives. Due to little fishing done in Brunei waters, many diving sites are still in pristine condition.
It is also very easy to get to the dive sites as Brunei is a compact country. From Banda Siri Begawan, it is about 30 minutes to the beach, and about a 30-minute boat ride to the dive area. Dive sites include Abana Reef, 15 minutes by boat out of Muara Harbor; Pelong Island, 20 minutes by boat out of Muara Harbor and an oil rig wreck, 30 minutes by boat out of Muara Harbor.
