New experiences in NSW

With an array of new experiences opening across Sydney and NSW, Winter is a great time to explore the state.

• Skypeak Adventures is a new eight-storey aerial park in St Marys, furthering Penrith’s stance as the Adventure Capital of Regional NSW. The multi-million dollar attraction is a world-first in that it combines an aerial playground with a unique tree-climb experience. With five courses to choose from and more than 100 adrenaline-fuelled aerial challenges, Skypeak Adventures delivers the ultimate thrill

• From 30 June – 17 July, St Mary’s Cathedral forecourt in Sydney will once again be buzzing with twinkling lights and falling snow when the Winter Festival returns to town. An open-air ice-skating rink is set to lure people of all ages to embrace the wintery magic and, for the first time, adults will enjoy a Munich Brauhaus Pop-up Bier Hall, full of hearty brews and cold weather classic

• These school holidays children can take part in an exhilarating space adventure, become a time traveling television presenter or discover how to navigate the planets and stars as part of the fun-filled holiday program at the Australian National Maritime Museum from 3 – 17 July 

• Perisher’s popular Playstation Leichardt Terrain Park has undergone major improvements for this peak season. The expansions and improvements mean that more riders can experience a greater range of Intermediate Park riding

• One of Sydney’s most beautiful historic buildings, The Royal Automobile Club of Australia on Macquarie Street, is now home to regular MagicalSoirées - reminiscent of the elegant, captivating events of the famous ‘salons’ in 19th century Europe. Every Friday, Bruce Glen, The Gentleman Magician will present an entrancing evening of storytelling and magic with tickets including drinks and canapes on arrival.
