The 37th Annual Boston Dragon Boat Festival was held June 11 and 12, 2016, with more than 30 teams from the U.S. and Canada competing over a 500-meter course in sleek, colorful, 39-foot dragon boats.
The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese Festival providing performances, food, and arts and crafts representing traditions of this ancient Chinese celebration.
Ms. Zhang Qiyue, Consul General of China in New York, attended the event and dotted the dragon’s eyes. Zhang Qiyue noted that 2016 is China-U.S. Tourism Year and the people-to-people and cultural exchange between China and the U.S. has been strengthened.
Featuring beautiful photos, provided by CNTO New York, the China tourism exhibition generated strong interest among the local audience.
