ROCK THE BOAT 6 MAKES BIGGER WAVES WITH NEW ACTS ANNOUNCED

Two exciting new additions, Barry Ryan (UK) and Wayne Fontana (UK)have just been announced by Choose Your Cruise to join the impressive international line-up for Rock the Boat 6 – A Salute to the Sixties. Scheduled to set sail from Brisbane in November this year, Rock The Boat 6will be swinging full steam as it hosts some of the biggest and iconic sixties acts including:

Chubby Checker (USA), Gary Puckett and The Union Gap (USA), The Searchers (UK), The Fortunes (UK), Wilbur Wilde (AUS), The Troggs (UK), P.J. Proby (US), The Pacemakers (UK) and Badfinger featuring Joey Molland (UK).

Barry Ryan, who last toured Australia in 1967 with Eric Burden and The Animals, is renowned for the 1968 multi-platinum chart #1 single Eloise, which has sold over three million copies worldwide and has become a well-known melodic 60’s classic. Barry’s follow up single Love is Love also rose to platinum status selling over one million copies.

Eager to be swinging in sixties pop euphoria with his favorite audiences onRock the Boat 6, Barry said: “I’m absolutely overjoyed to be performing at sea to my fans across the South Pacific. What an adventure! I’m really looking forward to coming back”.

Wayne Fontana also joins the party to revive the 60’s at sea. This will be Fontana’s first visit to Australia and the pop-rock singer continues to be unstoppable. Best known for his 1965 classic Game of Love with the Mindbenders and other chart toppers including Um Um Um Um Um Um and Pamela Pamela, the hilarious and talented performer is sure to captivate audiences with his refined 60’s sensibilities.

Barry Ryan and Wayne Fontana replace Brian Poole and Chip Hawkeswho sadly have had to cancel for health reasons, quoted: “We are sorry that we are not able to perform on Rock the Boat 6 this year. We hope all our fans in Australia enjoy the music and the amazing talent on board.”

Now in its sixth year, Rock the Boat 6 – A Salute to the Sixties continues to be the biggest 60’s music festival at sea. With an incredible international line up that is sure to impress passengers will be reliving the enjoyable memories of the Sixties and singing along to timeless classics performed by the original artists, while sailing down memory lane.
