FREDDIE LJUNGBERG MARKS ONE YEAR UNTIL BLOCKBUSTER ARSENAL FC VISIT

Arsenal FC legend Freddie Ljungberg was joined in Sydney today by NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events and Minister for Sport, Stuart Ayres, Sydney FC player Alex Brosque and Western Sydney Wanderers assistant coach Hayden Foxe to mark one year until the highly anticipated Arsenal in Sydney tour kicks off in July 2017.

Ljungberg played most of his career with Arsenal, making 328 appearances in a glittering 10-year career. Winning eight trophies during his time with the Gunners, including two Premier League titles and three FA Cups trophies, Ljungberg is a true legend of the game.

During his visit to New South Wales, the Arsenal great has taken in the sights of Sydney and surrounds, helping to promote the city on the world stage as part of an 18-month strategic tourism and sporting partnership between Destination NSW and Arsenal FC.

Arsenal will play Sydney FC on Thursday, July 13, 2017 and Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday, July 15, 2017.

Tickets for both matches are on sale from 10am next Tuesday, July 19 and can be purchased through Ticketek.
