| Celebrating Thai National Elephant Day at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort |
A Day of Learning and Connection
The festivities began with a spiritual ceremony, a symbolic tribute to the deep bond between Thai people and elephants. Local school children were invited to take part in a special lunch hosted by the Anantara team, setting the stage for an immersive educational experience. The highlight of the event was the elephant education workshop, where students had the rare opportunity to observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.
One of the most memorable moments was a demonstration by an elephant osteopath, showcasing massage techniques designed to improve the well-being of rescued elephants. The hands-on experience left many students inspired, planting the seeds for future careers in wildlife conservation and veterinary care.
Celebrating Thai Culture Through Art and Nature
Beyond the educational sessions, the event featured a vibrant craft market filled with pachyderm-inspired souvenirs and handicrafts made by local artists. Guests had the chance to browse unique pieces while supporting the local artisan community.
The day’s grand finale was a spectacular elephant buffet by the riverbank, where the stars of the event feasted on an array of their favourite treats. Watching the elephants enjoy their celebratory meal was a heartwarming reminder of the importance of conservation efforts and the role humans play in protecting these magnificent creatures.
A Lasting Commitment to Conservation

This national day is not only a heartfelt gesture from our community to the elephants but also a chance to remind the young about the way of life that has shaped Thai society for centuries,” shared Arnaud Béril, General Manager of Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort.
