Victoria has once again proven its tourism prowess, securing seven prestigious awards at the 2024 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, celebrated in Adelaide. This year marked the 40th anniversary of the awards, which honoured the nation’s best tourism businesses, showcasing the innovation, excellence, and dedication that define Australian tourism.

The recognition at the Australian Tourism Awards was celebrated by the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC), with Chief Executive Felicia Mariani expressing her pride in the state’s representation. “We are so proud of our 26 tourism businesses that represented Victoria on the national stage in this fiercely competitive process,” Mariani said. “It was wonderful to celebrate with our gold, silver, and bronze award winners at the Australian Tourism Awards. Their accomplishment stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment and passion demonstrated by our operators in Victoria.”

Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events, Steve Dimopoulos, also congratulated the winners, noting that Victoria’s tourism operators continue to set the standard in the industry. “From world-class attractions to unique experiences, our tourism industry plays a vital role in boosting local economies and supporting jobs right across the state,” Dimopoulos added.
