MOSCT Launches Tourism Stimulus Program 2025

Temple of Literature, Hanoi
The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (MOSCT) launched the Tourism Stimulus Program 2025 as part of its plan to implement the Government’s Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP and Resolution No. 25/NQ-CP. The initiative aimed to enhance the quality of tourist services, boost international arrivals, and stimulate economic growth within the tourism sector.

One of the program’s key highlights was the introduction of a visa exemption policy for citizens of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland. Under this policy, travelers from these countries could enter Vietnam without a visa, provided they had a passport valid for at least six months and were part of tours organized by inbound tour operators registered with the tourism stimulus program. This initiative sought to attract more European visitors and strengthen Vietnam’s position as a preferred travel destination.

To promote this initiative, MOSCT organized tourism campaigns in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland. Additionally, Vietnam Culture and Tourism Weeks were held in Poland and the Czech Republic to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and these European nations.

The Tourism Stimulus Program 2025 also introduced a wide range of incentives for tourists. Major attractions, historical sites, and scenic spots offered free or discounted entrance fees. Tourism-related services, including transportation, accommodation, dining, entertainment, shopping, and wellness, were eligible for discounts of up to 50%, depending on terms set by tourism businesses and service providers.

A series of cultural and commemorative events were organized to attract visitors. These included celebrations of Vietnam’s 80th National Day on September 2 and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification on April 30 - May 1. International forums, conferences, and cultural, sports, and tourism events further enriched the travel experience for international visitors.

Local tourism associations and businesses played an active role in the program, collaborating to create joint tourism packages. They also introduced unique local products as gifts and souvenirs to enhance the overall visitor experience. Meanwhile, airlines increased flight frequencies and launched new direct routes to accommodate the anticipated rise in international arrivals.

To facilitate access to updated promotions, events, and tour information, the Tourism Stimulus Program 2025 launched an official website (https://2025.vietnam.travel). This platform served as a hub for businesses, localities, and tourists to stay informed about special offers and upcoming events, ensuring a seamless and enriched travel experience in Vietnam.
