In an exciting announcement, Melbourne Museum has revealed it will be the global home of LEGO® Star Wars™: The Exhibition—a groundbreaking, galaxy-first event that will bring the iconic Star Wars universe to life through the magic of LEGO bricks. Set to make its world premiere on May 4, 2025, also known as Star Wars Day, this monumental exhibition promises to captivate fans of all ages with its stunning models, interactive experiences, and immersive storytelling. And there’s no better place for it than Melbourne, a city renowned for its vibrant arts scene and cultural innovation.

A Galactic Premiere: May the Fourth Be With You

LEGO Star Wars: The Exhibition will debut in Melbourne, marking a major milestone in the 25-year history of the LEGO Star Wars collaboration between the LEGO Group and Lucasfilm. Created by LEGO Certified Professional Ryan "Brickman" McNaught and his talented team, the exhibition will feature one of the largest and most intricate collections of LEGO Star Wars models ever created, including some that stand an impressive four metres tall. Over 25,000 hours of work and 8 million LEGO bricks are being used to build these awe-inspiring sculptures, each one painstakingly crafted to pay homage to the iconic ships, characters, and scenes from Star Wars.

Fans will be able to step into the Star Wars galaxy as they explore life-sized LEGO models of famous characters like Darth Vader, Yoda, and Luke Skywalker, as well as some of the most iconic vehicles, such as the Millennium Falcon and the X-wing fighter. Whether you're a fan of the original trilogy, the prequels, or the more recent Star Wars films, this exhibition has something for everyone, with familiar faces and breathtaking landscapes waiting to be explored.
