Contiki launches first youth-focussed trip to South Korea

Contiki, the social travel brand for 18-35s, has announced its first youth-focussed trip to South Korea. The nine-day trip begins and ends in Seoul with a focus on K-Wave Culture in addition to the more traditional tourist hotspots.

Activities include a high-speed rail journey to Busan, with a stopover at UNESC O World Heritage town Jeonju, known for its traditional ambience and local hospitality.

In and around the South Korean capital of Seoul, travellers will have the chance to visit Gangnam, made known by Psy’s hit song ‘Gangnam Style’ and Seongsu once a shoemaking district and now one South Korea’s most exciting shopping districts.

Other experiences include a trip to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), where on a clear day you can look over the border into North Korea and a visit to the Awon Hanok Gallery.

There will be authentic cuisine, and the chance to discover Busan by night on board a private yacht, watch a baseball game and to star in a K-pop music video.
