The competition, which is run in partnership with OM SYSTEM (previously Olympus cameras), will see prizes awarded for images taken on the African continent.
The judging panel comprises professional photographers Luke Stackpoole, Andrew Ling and Margot Raggett, alongside OM SYSTEM Ambassador Michaela Skovranova and Zimbabwean conservationist, Dr Moreangels Mbizah.

The 2022 Africa in Focus competition closes on 15 September 2022, with winners announced 15 October 2022.
Wilderness is inviting photographers, partners, travellers and wildlife enthusiasts to submit their favourite African images.
There is an entry fee of R300 (USD25) per photographer. This enables a maximum of five entries permitted across the four categories.
These are
- African Wildlife
- African Landscapes
- People, Cultures & Communities of Africa, and Conserving Africa’s Wilderness.
All photographs entered will be displayed in an online gallery on Wilderness’ website. The overall winner, across all categories, will receive an allexpenses-paid eight-night safari for two people atone of Wilderness Classic camps in Botswana, Zambia or Zimbabwe.
