Lake Bohinj and Lake Bled

Lake Bohinj

Lake Bohinj, the largest lake in Slovenia, is located within the Bohinj Valley of the Julian Alps and is part of Triglav National Park

Lake Bled, also in the Julian Alps, adjoins the town of Bled. The Julian Alps also offers cycling and hiking trails including the 290km long Juliana bike route and the Juliana hiking Trail.

Both of these trails are located in an area of outstanding natural beauty that takes in the River Soča, Lake Bled and the Mountain Triglav, Slovenia's highest mountain.

Situated above Lake Bohinj, the Savica Waterfall is a double waterfall that plunges an 78 metres.
