Meet the 'happiness manager' of Kumamoto Prefecture, Kumamon

Kumamon

This adorable figure has been the mascot of the prefecture since 2010, and is so loved that Kumamon Park recently opened in Kumamon Port Yatsushiro.

The 2.7 hectare area is home to 84 Kumamon statues, including this 6-metre-tall one, as well as Japanese-style garden and bamboo grove.
