FUN IS COMING HOME! CARNIVAL SPLENDOR DEPARTS SEATTLE EN ROUTE TO SYDNEY

Nearly 1000 days since her last Australian cruise, Carnival Splendor has officially embarked on her return to her homeport of Sydney, departing Seattle on a 23-night Transpacific Journeys cruise.
After a successful cruise season in Alaska showcasing her Aussie features to North America, Carnival Splendor will sail through the heads into Sydney Harbour on September 30.

With guests on board from all around the world, including a number of very dedicated Aussie cruise fans, passengers will visit six amazing ports across Fiji and Hawaii, including Maui, Honolulu, Kona and Hilo.

Enjoying the fun on board are New South Wales locals Arthur and Christine Harris who, with this cruise, are celebrating an incredible 51 cruises with Carnival Cruise Line. The milestone achievement also coincides with the brand’s 50th birthday celebrated earlier this year, along with Carnival’s 10th year in Australia to be celebrated later in October.

“Although we’ve now cruised with Carnival over 50 times, this one is particularly special. Not only is the itinerary amazing, but we’ll get to experience the excitement of sailing onboard Carnival Splendor as she returns home to Sydney. We’ve flown all the way to the US to join the cruise but we can’t wait to sail out of Australia again,” said Arthur Harris.

Cruisers will also have plenty of time to refamiliarise themselves with Carnival Splendor’s amazing features on the three-week-long journey including the green and gold Carnival Waterworks™, Cloud 9 Spa and Serenity™ Retreat, and much loved dining options from Masala Tiger to Guy’s Burger Joint.

On the announcement, Kara Glamore, VP of Carnival Cruise Line Australia, said that Splendor’s return is a huge win for Australian cruising. “Carnival Splendor has had a fantastic season in Alaska sailing alongside her sister ships in the global Carnival Cruise Line fleet. However, we know that Aussies are incredibly eager to reacquaint themselves with the FUN style of cruising that only Carnival can offer.

“When Splendor returns to Sydney, she’ll be bringing the signature Carnival Cruise Line fun back into the market - and kick off what will be an extremely exciting few months for Australian cruising with Carnival Luminosa’s arrival just around the corner too.”

Carnival Splendor’s first cruise from Sydney will depart on 01 October 2022.
