The city is also often used as a starting point for safari trips elsewhere in Kenya. The Social House has Copper, an urban brasserie with dishes cooked over an open fire grill.
From the Social House, guests can discover a vibrant colourful city.
The 120-square-kilometre Nairobi National Park, a halfhour drive from the hotel, has black rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded to date.
There is also the chance to explore the local coffee farms and tea plantations, visit the David Sheldrick elephant orphanage and the Giraffe Centre.
Nairobi also has many live music venues and clubs focussing on Afro-fusion sounds along with galleries and buzzing local street markets.
