The resort has also funded the Atoll Marine Centre, a turtle rescue and rehabilitation centre. 

There is also a monthly clean up, by Cora Cora’s staff, of a nearby uninhabited island to remove the waste that washes up on its shores. 

Cora Cora then sorts the waste and sends plastic to Parley on Male for it to be sorted into the different categories for recycling. 

The plastic is then repurposed into a variety of articles such as shoes, sunglasses, and shopping bags via collaborations with Adidas and Cleanwaves. 

A donation page has been set up for the Atoll Marine Centre to help fund its work.
