Japan's largest alpine marshland - Ozegahara

Admire mountains, fields of flowers and a towering waterfall as you stroll along the boardwalk of Japan's largest alpine marshland - Ozegahara. 

Spot rare wildlife such as the Japanese serow (a goat-antelope) and the country's smallest dragonfly!

You can access the park from trailheads in Gunma and Fukushima prefectures. 

Summer and autumn (June through October) is the best time for hiking, as the area is covered in deep snow from winter to spring.
