With the King currently gracing big screens around the world, rock ‘n’ roll fever is sweeping the nation! And fans can keep on rocking with the announcement of P&O Cruise Australia’s newest Tribute to The King Cruises for the 2022/23 season.
Following the sold-out Sydney July cruise, the popular tribute voyage is being offered for the first time from Melbourne in December, followed by Brisbane and Auckland in 2023.
According to Cruise Director for P&O Explorer, Julie McEwen, Tribute to the King cruises have a fantastic track record of attracting thousands of fans. “It’s brilliant that we can now bring this iconic cruise to more fans across Australia and New Zealand,” she said.
We absolutely can’t wait to welcome on board our 14 entertainers who’ll be transporting our guests back in time with 42 dedicated tribute shows, a movie marathon, 50s and 70s dress-up nights plus themed trivia and karaoke that will have everyone rockin’ around the clock!”
Big Al, creator of Big Al’s World - Australia’s only dedicated homage to the King filled with memorabilia and collectables - has partnered with P&O Cruises Australia to curate a sensational line-up of tribute artists. He is predicting the energy during the 2022/23 cruise season will be unmatched: “I have loved The King for my entire life, everything about him could just fixate a crowd. With his incredible story top of mind right now, this is the most exciting time to be getting on board, with new and seasoned fans”.
Singing and dancing her way through two tribute cruises previously, rock ‘n’ roll superfan Carolyn White has already booked her third tribute cruise.
She says the love of rock ‘n’ roll is visible everywhere on the ship. “You can expect rockabilly frocks up at breakfast and couples jiving across the floor late at night! Anyone who loves music, fashion and history would have a fabulous time,” she said.
P&O Cruises Australia’s 7-day flash sale on now until Tuesday 5 July, making it the perfect time to dust off those blue suede shoes. Prices start from $399pp. For more information and to book the Tribute to the King cruise, visit https://www.pocruises.com.au/deals/7-day-sale
