Somdej Phra Maha Muneewong, Abbot of Wat Rajabopit Sathitmahasimaram Rajaworavihara, presided over the Aircraft Anointing Ceremony for Thai Airways International Public Company Limited's two aircraft, Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A380-800. Mr. Chokchai Panyayong, THAI Acting President, members of THAI's Board of Directors, THAI Management, and guests of honor were present at the Aircraft Anointing Ceremony that was held at THAI's Technical Department, Suvarnabhumi Airport. Mr. Chokchai Panyayong, THAI Acting President, said that two aircraft were anointed the Boeing 777-300ER royally bestowed the name “VIMOLMASSIRI” and Airbus A380-800 royally bestowed the name “MANCHA.KHIRI”. These two aircraft are fully equipped with state-of-the-art products and services, which makes travel more convenient for passengers. Both aircraft are equipped with state-of-the-art passenger seats and personal screens with the latest in-flight entertainment system in all classes of travel.
THAI's Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will be operated on regional and intercontinental flights on the route Bangkok-Copenhagen, Bangkok-Brussels, Bangkok-Stockholm, Baangkok-Oslo, Bangkok-Melbourne, Bangkok-Brisbane, Bangkok-Beijing, Bangkok-Singapore and Bangkok-Shanghai.
The Airbus A380-800 will be operated on the route Bangkok-Frankfurt and Bangkok-Paris, Bangkok-Tokyo (Narita), and Bangkok-Osaka. THAI's Airbus A380-800 makes travel more comfortable and convenient for passengers, equipped with personal entertainment screens in all classes of travel, more spacious passenger cabin, and environmentally friendly technology.
Passengers may enjoy up to 132 movies, 150 documentaries, listen to 500 albums and play 60 games on board these two aircraft types.
