Women across the world looking for a unique holiday destination that combines fun, relaxation and winter sports are set to experience a travel destination like no other, with the launch of world-first ski and snowboarding haven Snow Goddess Retreats in Hakuba, Japan.
After 13 years of leading the world's most popular female surf retreat in Bali, the Surf Goddess Retreats team have put on their winter gear and taken to the mountains, where Snow Goddess Retreat will open February 2015 on the beautiful snowy slopes of Hakuba.
Surf Goddess Retreats CGO (Chief Goddess Organiser) Michelle Varga said the idea to add a snow option to Goddess Retreats came very naturally.
"We have already created the perfect getaway for busy modern women with a balance of sporting and cultural activities, decadent relaxation and pampering time, a supportive and social group setting which is always filled with camaraderie and laughter. Snow Goddess will host the same luxurious and unique experience in the breathtaking Northern Japanese Alps, with ski and snowboarding options."
"These winter sports can help women grow in confidence and empower them as they challenge themselves. Traveling also gives women the opportunity to see themselves in a new light and provides the space to return to their lives refreshed with a new perspective," Ms Varga said.
Each retreat package includes full accommodation at the charming lodge, delicious meals cooked by professional chefs, skiing or snowboarding lessons, yoga, mountain passes and sightseeing excursions.
"It's a week packed with fun and perfect for all levels of skiers and boarders. Our sumptuous retreat provides an intimate space for women, travelling solo or with others, to learn or improve on their snow skills in a supportive environment and create new friendships with women from all over the world," Ms Varga said.
Snow Goddess is designed to leave every guest feeling truly rejuvenated so each retreat package includes yoga sessions to engage the mind and body along with visits to a local Onsen (traditional Japanese hot bath) which is a wonderfully restorative cultural experience.
Visitors stay in a cozy style lodge fondly known as the 'Snow Goddess Sanctuary', a stone's throw away from the Hakuba town offering a traditional Japanese style pub, night skiing, local bands and the famous fire festivals. With individually heated snug bedrooms and open plan softly furnished living spaces, the lodge is a divine place to relax after a satisfying day in the snow with your fellow goddesses.
Prices from USD$2795.
