- Country Market Travel to NSW snapshot and time series The reports show NSW maintained its dominant position in international tourism and achieved:
The highest volumes of international visitors (3.1 million), nights (73.8 million) and expenditure ($6.8 billion) since 2005
- Growth in visitors (+6.3 per cent), nights (+6.4 per cent) and expenditure (+5.6 per cent)
- Significant growth in the holiday market in all three areas: visitors (+7.0 per cent), nights (+12.3 per cent) and expenditure (+12.7 per cent)
- Significant visitor growth in the following markets: India (+18.1 per cent), Hong Kong (+14.0 per cent), United Kingdom (+11.7 per cent) and China (+10.8 per cent)
Key drivers of visitor expenditure growth were the Holiday, China and Education markets.
