Known for the best shark cage diving adventure on the planet, Rodney
Fox Shark Expeditions now offers a two-day Great White Shark experience.
The new tour - perfect for non-qualified divers who still want the
best shark experience possible – has been crowned the nation's best New
Tourism Development at the most recent Australian Tourism Awards.
“While we still offer three day and longer expeditions, the two-day
trip is perfect for people who are time poor but still want to dive at
the best place in the world to view Great White Sharks, with the company
which has the highest success rates with Great White Sharks anywhere,”
Andrew Fox says.
“We take fewer people on our expeditions, there's no rush, no crowds and more time spent in the water with sharks.”
Fifty years ago Rodney Fox survived one of the worst Great White
Shark attacks in history before inventing shark cage diving and devoting
his life to saving sharks. His passion has been passed on to his son,
Andrew, who started the Fox Shark Research Foundation.
As well as shark cage diving, the two-day tours include snorkeling
with sea lions, an exclusive nature walk on the Neptune Islands and
shark research talks. Accommodation is on board a comfortable expedition
vessel in double, private or twin cabins with en-suites while delicious
meals are prepared by an on board chef with dietary needs catered for.
Rodney Fox invented shark cage diving and today the company continues
to innovate with its world exclusive ocean floor cage dives available
on tours of three-days or more. Suitable for qualified divers, the
submersible cage travels to the ocean floor where sharks glide by –
above and around the cage – swimming alongside the world's largest
stingrays.
Mr Fox said Rodney Fox Shark Expeditions had an impeccable safety
record, sturdy cages and a crew made up of qualified dive professionals.
“This is one of the world's greatest animal encounters and our new
two-day tour makes it accessible to anyone who has a love of adventure
and respect and awe for the Great White Shark,” he said.
Rodney Fox Shark Expeditions dive at the Neptune Islands, leaving
from Port Lincoln, just a 45-minute flight from Adelaide, South
Australia. Selected tours are hosted by Rodney and Andrew Fox. The new
two-day tour costs from $995 per person including all meals. Details: www.rodneyfox.com.au
