Moab is Utah's First Glamping Location

On April 4th, 2014, Moab Under Canvas will open providing guests with safari-style luxury glamping. In May, DeadHorsePointState Park opens yurt camping.

It's not a hotel, although Moab Under Canvas boasts equivalent amenities, plus a friendly staff to share knowledge and stories around the campfire. It's a luxury camp that practices outdoor ethics and disappears at the end of the travel season, almost completely with little trace left on the landscape. This is the only glamping accommodation available in Utah.

Situated with views of Arches National Park, guests will be awed by Moab's red-rock formations and amazing scenery. A variety of relaxation or adrenaline packages can be added to a stay. Moab Under Canvas offers honeymoon, active family, hot air balloon, scenic flight, mountain biking, rock climbing and other packages.

An incredible setting for a vacation or wedding. Moab Under Canvas can now be booked for outdoor weddings using their unique and beautiful tipi marquees. As a brand new product for 2014, the tipi marquees are inspired by the traditional tipi design and are original products in the US. The sides flip up and down to adjust for seasonal weather and allow for up to seven tents to fit together to create artful spaces. The tipi marquees are a luxuriously furnished safari tent and tipi accommodation, deluxe suites with king sized beds, and light and bright en-suite bathrooms with flushing toilets and hot water.

Besides the luxury opportunity described above, try canvas camping in another sensational setting.Utah State Parks', Dead Horse Point will complete refashioning the group campsite in the park. It was an under utilized part of DeadHorsePointState Park. Three yurts will be erected. Each yurt is furnished with a bunk bed - double-bed down low and single-bed up above, a futon couch when flattened sleeps two, kitchen table, air cooler and gas fireplace. Online reservations are accepted year round for year round lodging. Outside there is a picnic table, grill, and a deck with deck chairs. Occupants of all the yurts share a toilet and sink at the edge of the grounds.

The yurts are situated perfectly to access The Intrepid Trail System. The first loops of mountain bike trails were installed May 2009 and, at that time, dedicated by the Governor of Utah. A second phase of trails has been finished during winter to total 16 miles of mountain bike riding inDeadHorsePointState Park.
