Pullman Hotels and Resort's strong presence in the five-star sector has expanded to include Magenta Shores, previously a Quay West property. Located only 90 minutes drive north of Sydney and nestled between the pristine waters of Tuggerah Lake and the Pacific Ocean, Magenta Shores is the first Pullman on NSW's Central Coast.
In becoming the latest hotel to join the ever increasing Pullman network in Australia, Magenta Shores has completed a refurbishment of its 59 guest rooms and villas to be in line with global Pullman standards. The refurbishment of the guest rooms will be closely followed by a refresh of the resort's bar and then restaurant.
The re-branding of Quay West Resort Magenta Shores to Pullman represents the next evolution of the Pullman brand following a year of strong investment in development of the network around the world, and particularly in the Asia Pacific region.
Simon McGrath, Chief Operating Officer of Accor Pacific, said the hotel's upgrading and re-branding would provide a major boost for the Central Coast's hotel sector.
“Pullman has already established an enviable reputation in the Australian market following a major re-branding and refurbishment program within the capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane over the past year. The next evolution of the brand is to expand this experience into sought after areas with strong feeder markets that are destinations in themselves.”
“Guests can be assured of the same high levels of service and accommodation in these new locations while also experiencing an entirely unique destination experience. Pullman Magenta Shores Resort's world class golf course makes it a destination within itself and perfectly suited to the Pullman's guest who travels both for business and leisure often mixing the two making it a natural fit for the brand.”
“Magenta Shores has been a fixture of NSW's tourism scene for years and the combination of its idyllic location, new branding and the refurbishment of its guest rooms will see it attract even greater volumes of business, leisure and conference business.”
The new-look hotel rooms feature Pullman's signature interior using two colour schemes of marine and earthy accents against stylish neutral fixtures to create a fresh new aesthetic which is both sophisticated and contemporary. Amongst the 59 accommodation rooms are studio guestrooms and 1, 2 and 3 bedroom villas with spacious separate lounge and dining area, fully self contained kitchen, laundry, large furnished courtyard and a choice of golf course, lagoon pool or garden views.
Barretts Restaurant is scheduled to receive an update in the coming months and will implement the 5-star brand's contemporary food offering which has an emphasis on using fresh local produce under the guidance of culinary ambassador Justin North. The resort's Shallows Bar will also be updated with a contemporary new design reflecting the connectivity theme which runs throughout the Pullman network. The use of organic shapes and upbeat colour schemes are design features used in these spaces to allow flow and bring people together.
Pullman Magenta Shores already features the new Vie Spa experience which was launched throughout the Pullman network last year. Designed to be a haven of peace and tranquillity within 5-star surrounds, Vie Spa - meaning 'Life Spa' - offers a menu that includes locally infused treatments such as a native clay hot oil body treatment; a blue cypress scrub, sea kelp and Indigenous clay wrap.
The exclusive Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club boasts a spectacular 18 hole, Ross Watson designed championship golf course ranked No. 1 Resort Golf Course in NSW (Golf Australia Magazine 2007), an onsite tennis court, indoor 20m heated lap pool or lagoon style swimming pool, a fully equipped gymnasium making the Resort a destination in itself.
With the ability to host anywhere from four through to four hundred in its eight conference rooms, Pullman Magenta Shores is also a natural choice for small meetings and large scale conferences with many of the function rooms offering natural light and terraces with impressive views over the golf course.
The Entrance is a short drive away and offers plenty of shops, cafes, kids activities and of course the Central Coast's most popular tourist attraction - Pelican Feeding which and operates 3.30pm daily.
To celebrate its recent rebranding, Pullman Magenta Shores Resort is offering a special 'Time for Golf' package which includes overnight accommodation, breakfast and golf for two daily from $340 per night. A minimum 3-night stay is required for this package and terms and conditions apply. To book, call the hotel on (02) 4352 8100.
