Terrace Lounge |
Designed by world-famous architect Shigeru Ban, the restaurant is housed in an airy, two-storey structure that is openly modern with detailed, traditional touches. Its tall glass panels retract in the warmer months to encourage al fresco dining. Visitors can enjoy their food in a place of manicured greenery in the heart of the city. In addition, the restaurant also nests comfortably next to one of Shanghai’s most important historical venues – the former residence of Chairman Mao Zhedong.
The Terrace Lounge, with its retractable roof is bright during the day and warm with intimacy during the night. The wide terrace has its own entrance and a rotating cast of DJs and live musicians add energetic vibes to a creative cocktail menu filled with fun options. Guests will feel as comfortable here on casual weekends as they will in their best evening attire. The new Lounge will add infinite vibrancy to the whole space.
Already opened for half a year, the Restaurant will continue to serve guests with authentic Italian with Mediterranean delicacies, including options from land and sea, highlighted by no-fuss set lunches, authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas, Italian burrata, as well as house-made pastas and gelato. Those on the go may also grab a pizza or gelato from the takeout window facing Anyi Road.
Authentic, fine quality food topped with cocktails and other beverages prepared with passion and served in city’s best designed venues – Calypso will be the place ‘to be seen’.
